Summary

The Challenge: My core goal in this project was to prototype something that would successfully encourage users to go out and meet up with community members to play music.

In order to achieve this, I would have to design a pleasurable experience that appeals to a wide audience and is conducive to users' engagement with each other.

My Process

I began by brainstorming and building out the information architecture and workflow.

With the architecture of the main user flow in place, I began building out the prototype of the app.

Lessons and Limitations

Throughout this project I gained a lot of valuable experience in designing and building a product from scratch, and therefore got a feel for all parts of the UX workflow and how they link together.

A difficulty that I had with this project, though, is that since it is purely personal, it was difficult to acquire a significant amount of user data and research, which will be something that I have to focus hard on in future projects.
